Students and teachers from Bahçeşehir Bilfen Private High Schools spent a day immersed in history with a visit to Rumeli Fortress and Aşiyan Museum. This enjoyable and educational trip not only provided valuable insights into history, literature, and art but also offered the opportunity to create unforgettable memories.
The first stop of our trip was Rumeli Fortress, an impressive structure built by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror before the conquest of Istanbul. Students were fascinated by the historical atmosphere of this magnificent landmark. Our second stop was Aşiyan Museum, known as the former home of the famous poet Tevfik Fikret. The artworks exhibited in the museum and the information provided about the poet’s era shed light on an important period of Turkish literature. Touring the museum with the unique view of the Bosphorus made the experience truly unforgettable for both students and teachers.
