As part of our school’s 2024–2025 academic year activities, students came together with the unique nature and deep-rooted cultural heritage of Antalya through a series of cultural and geographical field trips.
On May 21, 2025, our 9th-grade students visited the villages of Sarıhacılar, Ürünlü, Belenalan, and Ormana in the Akseki district. The region’s iconic traditional "Buttoned Houses" (Düğmeli Evler) drew great interest from the students. Similarly, on May 6, 2025, our 10th- and 11th-grade students took part in a nature hike along the route covering Ulupınar, Yanartaş, Çıralı, and the Lycian Way.
During these excursions, students had the opportunity to directly observe the geographical factors that influence settlement patterns, the importance of natural resources for human life, the region’s endemic plant life, wildlife, and geomorphological structures.
This fruitful and enjoyable experience immersed in nature not only strengthened our students’ environmental awareness but also highlighted the vital importance of preserving cultural heritage.
