The Mol Day event organized by the Bilfen Antalya High Schools Chemistry Department was held this year in a fun and vibrant atmosphere with a “Jurassic Park” theme. The event’s mascot, “DinoMOL,” captured students’ attention and added cheerful energy to the day.
Students from grades 9, 10, and 11 actively participated in the program. During the event, information about the life of the Italian scientist Amedeo Avogadro and the significance of the number 6.02×10²³ in science was presented. The question “What is a mole?” was explained through real-life examples, helping students understand this abstract concept more concretely. From grains of salt to the air we breathe, many examples highlighted how the mole concept appears in everyday life.
The most exciting part of the event was the Knowledge Competition held among 11th-grade students. Participants demonstrated their knowledge while enjoying a friendly and engaging contest. This year, some questions were also directed to the audience. Students who answered correctly received chocolate wafer prizes from DinoMOL, adding a sweet touch to the day.
The event concluded with high energy and enthusiastic participation from the students.
