Seminar on “Adolescence and Family Communication” Held for Bilfen Antalya High School Parents

As part of the Secondary Education Adaptation Program, a seminar was organized for the parents of 9th-grade students to help them better support their children’s developmental process. The seminar, titled “Characteristics of Adolescence and Family Communication,” was conducted by our School Counselor, Nazlı Öntekin, and provided valuable insights into how parents can navigate the changes that come with this important stage of life.

During the session, key topics such as individual differences during adolescence, emotional ups and downs, important points to consider in communication, and shifts in family roles were discussed. Parents actively participated in the seminar, where emphasis was placed on the foundations of healthy communication and the idea that adolescence is not a crisis, but rather a valuable opportunity for growth
.
At the end of the seminar, parents received an informative bulletin titled Who’s Afraid of Being a Teen’s Parent? prepared to help them build more conscious and effective communication with their children during adolescence.
