Bilfen Çayyolu High School Students At Plastination Training

Bilfen Çayyolu Science Highschool 9th grade students Defne Zeynep BATTAL, Ela YAVUZ, Ekinsu ÖRÜNÇ, Merve Zülal YEŞİLBAŞ, Nuran Mina TOKGÖZ, Mira Beria MIHCIOĞLU and Şevval ÖZDEMİR participated in an 8 week-long “basics of silicone plastination and anatomy project” hosted by the Medical School of TOBB Economics and Technology University and under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Selçuk TUNALI with great interest and have been awarded certificates.

By conducting the most common way of silicone plastination on animal hearts and brains at Turkey’s first zSpace virtual reality anatomy lab, our students had the chance of improving their skills even before becoming Medical School students in a fully equipped enjoyable atmosphere.

The training, which started on December 3rd in the 2021-2022 academic year, was completed on February 18th. Our students are entitled to receive Turkish-English certificates at the end of their successfully completed studies. They will exhibit the samples of plastinated animal hearts and animal brains, which they have enthusiastically worked on, to their friends at our school campus in May.
