Private Bilfen Çayyolu High School Acid-Base Experiment An Acid-Base SEM (Science, Engineering, and Mathematics) activity was carried out with the 9th-grade students at Bilfen Çayyolu High School. In the first stage, our students completed the tasks related to acids and bases assigned to them. In the second stage, they measured the pH values of various food and cleaning products in the laboratory. This activity aims to facilitate a better understanding of the concepts of acids and bases and evaluate their effects on human health by measuring the pH values of food items and cleaning materials commonly used in daily life. At the end of the study, our students brainstormed to assess the importance of the consumption and use of acids and bases for living organisms.
