Bahçeşehir Bilfen Anatolian and Science High Schools participated in the “Başakşehir’de Söz Gençlerde’’ symposium, organized jointly by the Başakşehir District Directorate of National Education and the Başakşehir Municipality, with the theme “Green Transformation within the Framework of the Century of Türkiye Education Model.”Under the guidance of our geography teachers, students Zeynep Ceylin Gül, Ece Kuşku, and Helin İrem Karademir represented the Science High School with their project titled “High School Students’ Opinions on the Concept of Climate Change.” Representing the Anatolian High School, students Ceylin Aleyna Yeltekin, Eda Erdem, and Halil Ege Günaydın presented their project titled “A Sociological Study on the Factors Affecting the Saving Behaviors of Young People Aged 18–24.”Our students successfully presented their projects and the posters they prepared as part of their work to the district governor of Başakşehir, the mayor, the district director of national education, academics, and the teachers and students of participating schools. They shared creative solutions related to their project topics.While attending other schools’ presentations, they gained knowledge about green transformation, global warming, and the use of technology in protecting nature, and they learned about innovative and scientific approaches to environmental issues.The publication of our students’ articles in the symposium book, their receipt of certificates of achievement, and the new knowledge they acquired have all contributed significantly to their personal and academic development, laying important steps for their futures.
