BİLFEN ÇAYYOLU HİGH SCHOOLS CREATİVE DRAMA CLUB STUDENTS VİSİT THE BARIŞ MANÇO MUSEUM İN ISTANBUL

Motivated by our deep love and admiration for Barış Manço, a universal artist who brought local consciousness to our music and served as a role model through his approach to children and people, the Creative Drama Club students are preparing to stage this year’s performance in honor of Barış Manço.

Honored as a State Artist, Barış Manço was also awarded the title of "Cultural Ambassador" in Belgium, the International Culture and Peace Award from Japan's Soka University, and the Knight of Arts and Literature Medal from the French Ministry of Culture in Paris. To learn more about this extraordinary artist, the Creative Drama Club students visited the Barış Manço Museum.

The museum houses 2,000 antiques collected by Barış Manço over 25 years, showcasing items from the 19th and early 20th centuries, sourced from various countries around the world.

During their visit on December 18, 2024, students experienced fascinating, joyful, and emotional moments. A generation grew up with Barış Manço—laughing and having fun with his songs. Through his program Adam Olacak Çocuk, he became "Barış Ağabey" to young hearts, connecting with everyone from 7 to 77.

Looking forward to meeting again in May at the creative drama performance. Barış Manço will always be in our hearts.
