Great Success at Stanford by the Young Inventors of Bilfen Çayyolu High Schools

Students from Bilfen Çayyolu Science and Anatolian High Schools have achieved a significant success in the field of health technologies. The healthcare innovation project developed by Doğu Kaan Akgül, Mehmet Berk Üster, and Kağan Erkan was selected as first place among 40 projects and received an award at a health technologies competition organized by Stanford University School of Medicine.
The team integrated advanced technologies into a smart bed designed to address pressure ulcers, including AI-powered monitoring systems, automatic repositioning, and controlled ozone therapy. The inspiration behind the project came from empathy for elderly individuals and people with limited mobility.
With this achievement, the students successfully completed a one-month research and training internship at Stanford University. The project highlighted the students’ skills in health technologies and stood out as an exemplary initiative combining innovation with empathy.
