MOLE DAY…
The purpose of Avogadro Day is to encourage people to take an interest in chemistry. It also aims to inform people about the fascinating facts surrounding the mole unit. To raise awareness of Avogadro's number, 6.02 x 10²³, and to make this number, used in chemistry classes, memorable, October 23rd is celebrated as Mole Day. Celebrated each year on October 23rd from 6:02 a.m. to 6:02 p.m., Mole Day honors Avogadro's Number (6.02 x 10²³), a fundamental measurement unit in chemistry. Mole Day was created as a way to increase interest in chemistry.
Since 1991, Mole Day has been celebrated worldwide with a different theme each year, and this year’s theme is ENCANTMOLE…
The movie Encanto tells the story of a family with special powers living in a magical house in the mountains of Colombia. In the magical place called Encanto, each child in the Madrigal family, except for one, is blessed with a unique magical gift. We are also celebrating this day at Ankara Çayyolu Bilfen High School with our 10th-grade students through various activities and competitions, discovering the magical power of the mole.
