A Cultural Journey from Bilfen Bahçeşehir High Schools: “From Here, There, and Everywhere”

      Bilfen Bahçeşehir High Schools Theatre Ensemble took audiences on an engaging and thought-provoking journey from past to present with “From Here, There, and Everywhere,” a play written and performed by the students.Offering a broad perspective that spans from orta oyunu and the meddah tradition—cornerstones of traditional Turkish theatre—to modern theatrical approaches and cinema, the play stood out for its humor, cultural references, and instructive content. The students did more than simply stage a performance; through a fluent and entertaining narrative, they conveyed the historical transformation of theatre to the audience.

     With its ability to both amuse and inspire reflection, “From Here, There, and Everywhere” successfully highlighted the role of art in collective memory and the intergenerational transmission of storytelling traditions.
