Bilfen Çayyolu High Schools and TEMA Foundation Take a Step Towards the Future

Bilfen Çayyolu High Schools has signed a meaningful partnership with the TEMA Foundation to raise environmental awareness and create awareness for a sustainable future. Dr. Hikmet Öztürk, Deputy General Manager of the TEMA Foundation, visited our school.  Our students had an enjoyable conversation about the importance of protecting nature, the causes of forest fires, and the necessary precautions.

The presentation focused particularly on the impact of climate change and environmental neglect on forest fires. Students also learned about what to do in case of fire, individual responsibilities for environmental sustainability, and the work of the TEMA Foundation.

In his speech, Dr. Hikmet Öztürk emphasized the importance of environmental awareness, saying, “Every individual has duties and responsibilities when it comes to protecting nature. Protecting nature means protecting our future.”

After the presentation, the students actively participated by asking questions they were curious about. The event attracted great interest in terms of raising environmental awareness and reinforcing the love of nature among students. Our school will continue to organize such events focused on environmental education in the coming period.
