Izmir Bilfen High Schools' Success in the International Mathematical Olympiad

SEAMO is a prestigious mathematics competition held in person with participation from students around the world. A total of 684 students from Turkey, including 5 students from Özel Bilfen İzmir Science High School, participated in the exam held on October 18, 2025, at centers designated by SEAMO in each participating country.

Based on the ratio of the total number of participants, in the “10th Grade” category, where a total of 3 gold, 4 silver, and 8 bronze medals were awarded, our students from Bilfen İzmir Science High School

Ege Ozan ERKAN answered all questions correctly, becoming the 1st in Turkey and winning a gold medal. Also in the same category,

Azra Kayra ÖĞMEN ranked third in Turkey and won a gold medal; 
Elif Karen YİĞİT ranked seventh in Turkey and won a silver medal.

In the “9th Grade” category, where a total of 6 gold, 10 silver, and 17 bronze medals were awarded based on the ratio of total participants,

Batu Emirhan ARIK won the gold medal as the 2nd place winner in Turkey.
