At Bilfen, the goal is to improve students' foreign language proficiency and to document this proficiency using internationally recognized assessment tools. In line with this, in addition to in-school assessment processes, participation in exams administered by international institutions is encouraged. These exams comprehensively and objectively evaluate students' four basic language skills (reading, listening, speaking, and writing) as well as supporting skills such as vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
For English, students are encouraged to participate in TOEFL Primary, TOEFL Junior Standard, and Cambridge FCE exams in stages according to their grade level. These exams allow students to demonstrate their English language proficiency at global standards and contribute to their achievements in international academic platforms.
For German/French, participation in the TELC exam is encouraged to assess German language proficiency according to international standards, and participation in the DELF exam is encouraged to determine French language proficiency. Within this scope, students are expected to participate in A2 exams at the 7th grade level. Documenting the A2 level achieved at the end of 7th grade with internationally recognized certificates contributes to the global recognition of students' academic development.
Participation in international exams not only helps students document their language proficiency but also supports them in gaining awareness of different cultures and global perspectives, developing critical thinking skills, and broadening their intellectual horizons.
