Social and Emotional Learning

At Bilfen, alongside students' academic development, their social and emotional empowerment is considered an integral part of education. In this regard, the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) approach implemented in the Foreign Languages ​​Department systematically supports students' self-awareness, emotional management, social awareness, relationship-building, and responsible decision-making skills.

 

SEL skills are integrated into foreign language lessons with a planned and holistic approach. Thus, the language learning process transforms into a learning environment that strengthens not only students' communication skills but also their ability to know themselves, build healthy relationships with others, and effectively exist in social environments.


At Bilfen, the learning process is not limited to the school. In line with this approach, which emphasizes parent-school-student cooperation, information and development processes regarding SEL activities are shared through regular parent newsletters; thus, students' social and emotional development is also supported in the home environment.
