Every student graduates from Bilfen Schools with the ability to play a musical instrument.
The musical instrument course which is started in the second term of the 3rd grade is an indispensable part of music education. Our students are encouraged to play one of the violin, guitar, side-blown flute, baglama (instrument with three double strings), cello and orff in accordance with their skills and demands and in consideration of their physical abilities and they continue their musical instrument education during their study period.
Besides their skills in music, the musical instrument education develops their non-music skills (perception, coordination, mathematical intelligence etc.). As a result of the researches conducted, it was observed that music education achieved 17% increase in verbal memories of children. The most important aspect of the "Suzuki Violin Education" method applied is that this education is started at a very early age.
The musical instrument education not only develops auditory and verbal skills but also contributes to the extension of the concentration period. Such memory related connections as fast book reading and learning multiple foreign language are also among the skills acquired by students as a result of playing a musical instrument.
