The First and Only TTKB Approved English Teaching Program in Turkey

BİLFEN İNGİLİZCE DERSİ ÖĞRETİM PROGRAMI (BİDÖP)
The Bilfen English Curriculum is the first and only English teaching program in Turkey approved by the Board of Education (TTKB). The program is structured to encompass all the fundamental components included in the English teaching programs published by the Ministry of National Education.
The Bilfen English Curriculum (BİDÖP) is prepared with a holistic approach that considers students' cognitive, emotional, physical, social, and cultural learning dimensions, as well as their age, abilities, learning styles, motivation level, and individual characteristics. Accordingly, field skills, learning outcomes, learning-teaching experiences and practices, and differentiation studies form the basic building blocks of the program

The program, designed for grades 1-8, gradually structures four core language skills and three supporting foreign language skills, along with learning outcomes and learning-teaching experiences, in line with different pedagogical approaches. Accordingly;
- In grades 1-4, a holistic and recognition-based approach
- In grades 5-6, semi-holistic and semi-inductive (exploratory-based) approaches are used.
- In grades 7-8, a completely inductive (discovery-based) approach is adopted.
The BILFEN English Language Curriculum (BELC) consists of four separate programs structured according to different grade levels:
- Grades 1 and 2: Side by Side English Program
- Grades 3 and 4: Enrichment Junior English Program
- Grades 5 and 6: Enrichment English Program
- Grades 7 and 8: Elevated English Program
This structure allows students to experience a sustainable and in-depth English learning experience that is appropriate to their developmental level.
