Enrichment English Program (Grades 5 and 6)

The Enrichment English Program, implemented in 5th and 6th grades at Bilfen Schools, offers an interdisciplinary and project-based learning approach that deepens and enriches students' language proficiency. Within the program, content from social sciences, science, mathematics, art, and technology is integrated into English lessons, providing students with a multifaceted learning experience.

Daily lesson flow begins with opening routines that allow students to share their thoughts, use language in natural contexts, and internalize social language patterns. The lesson process continues with structured activities that reinforce the themes covered throughout the day.

The pedagogical foundation of the program is based on the integrated use of CLIL (Content-Based Language Learning), Task-Based Language Learning, and the Communicative Approach. This structure aims to develop students' analytical thinking, research, creativity, and effective communication skills; and to enable them to use English functionally as a global language of communication.

In addition to the four core language skills, supporting areas such as grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary are presented in meaningful and real-life contexts, integrating them with all skills. The program also centers on collaborative learning and project-based work; students deepen their learning through experience via projects based on teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity.

The learning process is enriched with leveled reading materials, online content, and AI-powered digital tools. Thanks to the blended learning model, students effectively benefit from both teacher guidance and personalized digital learning opportunities.
